About Us
With little more than a pick-up truck, a yellow lab, and a dream to build a company that would be well respected by the community that he was raised in, Dick Preissel founded Long Life Roofing in 1980. His reputation for quality work at a fair price grew at a rapid pace and he soon established himself as the roofing company of choice in the Wisconsin Dells, Baraboo, Portage, Mauston, and Reedsburg areas. Though the pick-up truck has been replaced and the yellow lab long gone, Dick’s philosophy to business has not changed. He remains very much a hands-on manager and is often found at the job sites alongside his crew.
Our personnel working out in the field share in the pursuit of quality construction at a fair price. The process begins with our estimator, Ed Erickson. Ed joined our firm in 1989 working in the field. He is frequently the first set of eyes to see a project. He is able to take in and analyze a situation in order to come up with the most cost efficient system for the building owner. Our field crews are led by foremen, Joe Torkelson, Michael Lange, and Joshua Saari. and between them, they have well over 40 years of experience in the construction industry and with Long Life Roofing. Sheet metal specialists, Jason Hertel and Arnold Paepke, show an attention to detail that is hard to beat, customizing metal fabrications to meet each project’s needs. Another major player in the success of Long Life is our crane operator, Todd Murray. Keeping the projects running smoothly and safely, Todd has been a crane operator in the construction industry for over 20 years.
Quality, safety and commitment define Long Life Roofing, and we have the trained personnel to make sure your roofing project is completed with the care and attention it deserves.
